In August, our EP TUP family gathered to focus on mental health awareness with the theme: "Mind Matters: Taking Care of You" 🧠🌈
Students and teachers shared experiences, learned about emotional wellness, and discovered ways to support themselves and each other through open discussions and engaging activities.
Sudden sadness, irritability, or emotional numbness without a clear reason.
Avoiding friends, skipping classes, or spending more time alone than usual.
Struggling to complete daily tasks, schoolwork, or activities you once enjoyed.
Saying things like "I'm tired of everything" or "What's the point?" can be signs of deeper emotional distress.
Mental health challenges are real and valid. If you or someone you know shows these signs, here's how to help.
Talk to someone you trust – a friend, teacher, or counselor. Listen without judgment – just being there can help more than you know.
Encourage journaling or creative outlets – expressing feelings through writing, art, or music can bring clarity and emotional release.
Try self-care activities – walking, mindfulness, music, or short breaks can reset your mind and help manage stress and anxiety.
TUPEP's school counselors and staff are always ready to listen and guide. Don't hesitate to reach out for professional support when needed.

What our EP TUP family learned about mental health and supporting each other.
Mental health struggles are normal and valid. Acknowledging difficult feelings is the first step toward healing.
Our TUPEP counselors, teachers, and support staff are here for you whenever you need someone to listen.
Your classmates and friends can be your strongest support system. We're all in this together.
Taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health and academic success.
